* Basic Pistol Safety Course (CWFL)


This course satisfies the minimum requirements set for the by the Florida Department of Agriculture. The Course covers the safe handling of a firearm, Concealed carry options in and out of the home confrontations as well as Florida Statutes that pertain to gun ownership.
This course does NOT teach you to shoot.

 

* NRA National Carrying Concealed Course. EDC


This Course is a combination of the Basics of

Pistol shooting and the Out Of The Home Personal Protection.  Its purpose is to set a Nationwide standard for the concealed carrying of a firearm.  Combined with State statues it exceeds the standards set by the Florida Dept. of Agriculture. It covers Firearms Safety, Pistol Nomenclature and selecting, Ammunition, Basic Defensive Pistol skills, drawing and shooting from concealment, Malfunctions, mindset, firearm cleaning, sport shooting and training activities.
Note: Students can opt to add the Florida law segment to satisfy the Dept. of Agriculture requirements for their CCW Permit.

 

* Individual Range Instruction

Classes are 1:1 and recommended for anyone interested in learning to shoot.  Classes will teach and reinforce firearms safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship. 
Skills covered will include:
*Shooting fundamentals
*Firearms safety in a dynamic environment
*Shooting Controlled pairs; Cadence & timing
*Human anatomy and shot placement
*Malfunction drills and tactical reloading.

* Firearm Fundamentals
This class is recommended for anyone interested in learning to shoot.  This course covers firearms safety and shooting fundamentals (Stance, Grip, Breathing, Aiming and Trigger control).  This class is designed as a refresher class for students that have not shot in a while and need to refresher their skills.Text block. * NRA Basic Pistol  10 years old+
This course is the first in a series of classes that build upon one another. This class provides the student with the skills, knowledge nd confidence to safely handle a firearm.  This course emphasizes shooting fundamentals as well as firearms and range safety.  Upon completion, students will receive an NRA certificate of completion.  

* NRA Basic Rifle Course
This Course introduces students to the knowledge, Skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a Shotgun safely. Through this course students will learn about shotgun parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, shotgun fundamentals and activities.

* NRA Basic Shotgun
This Course introduces students to the knowledge, Skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a Shotgun safely. Through this course students will learn about shotgun parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, shotgun fundamentals and activities.

* Tactical Shotgun
This course introduces students to the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for using a Shotgun in a tactical manner and activities available to the general public.  In this course we will go over the fundamentals taught in the NRA Basic Shotgun Course, Operating in "Cruiser Safe" and Cruiser Ready modes as well as tactically reloading and maneuvering with the shotgun.  Also discussed will be the advantages and disadvantages of a shotgun and when and were they are best used.  

* NRA Defensive Pistol Course

Prerequisite: NRA Basic Pistol Course.

This course will focus on techniques and the development of a defensive mindset. The goal of the course is to develop your knowledge, skills, and attitude to carry and use a concealed pistol ethically, responsibly, and with confidence. Topic covered with be Strong side/ Weak side shooting, Shooting from less than 15 feet, ammo considerations and malfunctions.

* Tactical Rifle
This Course introduces students to the knowledge, Skills, and attitude necessary for using a Tactical Rifle and activities available to the general public.  In this course we will go over the fundamentals taught in the NRA Basic Rifle course, tactically reloading and maneuvering with the semi-auto rifle. Also discussed in the course will be the topic of Optics and illuminating devices.    

* Women On Target
WOMEN ON TARGET® CREATES OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN IN THE RECREATIONALSHOOTING AND HUNTING SPORTS. The Women On Target® Instructional Shooting Clinics are safe, friendly, and a fun introduction to recreational shooting. We emphasize shooting fundamentals, firearms and range safety. Safety is paramount and is never
compromised. Upon completion, students will receive an NRA certificate of completion and feel confident to continue their shooting experience.

* Stop The Bleed.
This class will provide the participant with the knowledge to:
Recognize life threatening bleeding.
Take steps to stop the bleeding

* NRA Personal Protection In The Home

This course is unique in that it addresses both aspects of  a total personal protection strategy in the home. We will cover techniques and strategies designed to deter
burglars, home invaders and other criminals. Additionally, we will cover incorporating a firearm into the personal protection strategy, shooting positions, aiming and firing techniques, the use of cover & concealment, and
methods of clearing various types of malfunctions.

* NRA Personal Protection Out  Of The Home

The main focus of this course will be on the effective use of a concealed firearm for self-defense out side the home. The course covers but is not limited to concealment techniques, presenting the firearm from concealment, utilizing cover and concealment, multiple target and one-hand shooting.

* Low Light Shooting Techniques
Shootings are unpredictable and can occur in low light environments. This course is designed to give the student the knowledge, skills, ability, and confidence to mitigate safely and effectively low light encounters where deadly physical for might be used. This course is for intermediate to advanced students. Students must be able to demonstrate prior to the beginning
of instruction the safe handling of a firearm. Topics will include but are not limited to:
*A review of firearm safety
*Low light considerations
*Physiology of the eye
*Equipment comparison and selection
*handgun/flashlight tactics and techniques
*Weapon mounted flashlight; pros & cons
*Dynamic considerations when utilizing a firearm w/a mounted & handheld light.
*Cover & Concealment; difference, pros & Cons.

* NRA Home Firearms Safety Course
This is a four-hour course for safe gun handling that is conducted in the classroom only. Students are taught NRA’s three rules for safe gun handling; primary causes of firearms accidents; firearm parts; how to unload certain action types; ammunition components; cleaning; care; safe storage of firearms in the home; and the benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports. Students will receive the NRA Home Firearm Safety handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, course completion certificate.

* Report Writing for Security Personnel
Prerequisite;
Florida Security Guard D License

This course introduces NEWLY hired Security Officers to to the technique of report writing with emphasis on recording daily activity, incidents, accidents and unusual occurrences with the understanding that the information recorded could be used in a court of law.

This Class “G” Statewide Firearm License course satisfies the minimum training criteria for firearms per the Florida Department of Agriculture.

This course provides guidance to individuals, including managers and employees, so that they can prepare to respond to an active
shooter situation.

* NRA Range Safety Officer Course
This course teaches the basic duties of a Range Safety Officer performs. It provides a thorough introduction to; the role of Range safety officer (RSO); range Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); range safety briefings; range inspections and rules; emergency procedures; and how to clear firearm stoppages and correct malfunctions.
