Persist PAF is an inert, all-natural, and synergistic mix of healthy organic compounds and acids, sometimes generically called pyrolysis liquid, pyroligneous acid, smoke water, wood vinegar, wood distillate, and liquid smoke.  Research and trial data point to significant improvements in soil microbiology and mineral and nutrient availability.

Enriches Soil Microbiology

Studies have shown products link PAF enhance both the diversity and population of beneficial microorganisms in soil. It contains readily degradable organic compounds that microbes use for metabolism. The resulting enhanced microbial properties improve plant and soil productivity, particularly under adverse conditions such as drought.

Promotes Seed and Plant Growth

PAF contains a synergistic mix of over 200 organic compounds that help promote seed germination and plant development leading to increased vigor, branching, and productivity.  These same compounds are formed in nature during wildfires. Plants have evolved over millions of  years to respond quickly to these "fire" compounds.

Improves Nutrient Availability

PAF contains acetic acid, phenols, and other organic acids, which have been shown to convert iron, manganese, and other minerals into forms that are more available for plants. Iron is critical for photosynthesis and chlorophyll synthesis. (This is why customers report seeing an “instant greening” effect when applying PAF along with fertilizer!)

Additional Academic Support

A recent study on rapeseed published in the March 2021 addition of Agronomy found that a, "...400-fold dilution of wood vinegar significantly increased plant height, total leaf number, green leaf number, leaf area, effective branch number, and pod number per plant. In particular, it significantly increased the leaf area index and accumulation of rapeseed dry matter.
