And no, I don’t have cameras in your house and I’m not listening to your thoughts.

I just know because I’ve been there.

I’ve done every type of diet you can think of.

I’ve dealt with, literally, ALL of the eating disorders, which actually began in 5th grade.

I’ve pushed myself to the brink of complete exhaustion and adrenal fatigue doing 4 fitness competitions back to back, while in med school, thinking that was finally the way I was going to achieve my body goals (it wasn’t, and I didn’t).

Clearly, my issues ran deep.

And boy, did I struggle. And not just because of the yo-yo dieting.

Along the way, my gut was destroyed.

By the end of my last fitness competition, I actually ended up gaining a ton of weight and becoming the heaviest I’ve ever been.

My anxiety went through the roof and my skin erupted with acne in the weirdest places.

I drank a lot, mainly to numb the thoughts that were going through my head. That, obviously, didn’t help things.

At one point, I was even going to Overeaters Anonymous meetings because I could not stop eating.

My body had been starved of nutrients for so long that I could not stop shoving literally anything I could get my hands on into my mouth.

I had hit rock bottom.

No one knew.

The worst part?

I was finishing up naturopathic medical school.

This was, off brand, to say the least.

 

But don’t worry, this story has a happy ending.

Before we get there, I want to pause.

 

I know what you’re thinking “ugh, another diet guru who is going to tell me to count calories, eat more veggies, and exercise more”. Nope, not here. None of those will happen.

 

“Oh, so you’re trying to sell me some premade nutrition kit?” Nope, not that either.

 

“Ok, it’s gotta be some sort of ‘biggest loser’ type of retreat?!” Not a chance.

 

“Wait, is it weight loss bars? Shakes? A points system?!” None of those.

 

No, I believe you deserve better than fads, gimmicks, and crash plans that only end up with you gaining everything back and then some.

 

What I want the most is for other women who struggled like I did to finally reach this level of peace, comfort, and bodily acceptance, while actually finally achieving their fat loss goals.

 

You see, I believe we can have it all. Because that’s where I’m finally at. 

 

Fast forward to now. I am the healthiest I’ve ever been. In the best shape I’ve ever been. As mentally stable as I’ve ever been. And, most importantly, the happiest I’ve ever been. The thing is, it took me many, many years to figure it all out. I had to change my mindset, to learn to truly nourish my body, and to begin seeing myself as someone I love, instead of someone who is in constant need of being fixed.

 

While this took me many years of research, trial and error, and, let’s be serious, a lot of therapy, I believe it can go much faster. That is what I am here to teach. 


I believe I have cracked the code surrounding easy, sustainable fat loss, while also truly nourishing the body, mind, and spirit. It’s a place where we can finally feel peace around food and gratitude for our bodies. 


Now, don’t get me wrong, it requires work. I’d be lying if I told you that it didn’t.

But, I’ll share a secret. If I can do it, so can you. 


You see, I came to realize that there are only 3 main reasons why the body holds onto excess fat. Once I understood these, and could support my body to correct them, it was game on!

But that was only part of the picture. I also had to completely change how I thought about my body, and myself.

 

I could no longer operate as the person who wanted these changes through self hatred. I had to become a person who loved herself enough to want what is best for herself.


And, of course, I had to relearn what it was like to move my body in a way that supported true strength and encouraged health, vs pushing myself through exercises like endless cardio as a punishment.
