What our community is saying about our Playbook

"I’ve found your pdf very helpful teaching my daughter. I’m so glad you put this out. I’m a good skier but I’m learning as much about teaching her as she is about skiing and your guide has cut down my learning curve immensely. People don’t know its out there if you don’t promote it.

At the end of the day taking care of your family is the most important thing and money is a reality in that. You have something unique and your experience and knowledge is worth something to a lot of people. it was worth at least $47 to me lol."

Shout out @thatmountainlife! And his “How to teach your kid to ski playbook”. It was a great resource for me. Today was Amelia’s (almost 3 years old) 3rd day learning to ski. Pretty awesome pizza turn today! 3rd video is from day 1.

First 2 days were only 15mins. Today she didn’t want to stop, tons of fun on the magic carpet. I don’t know who had more fun Amelia or me. Thanks @thatmountainlife for setting the example on how to keep things fun and positive learning some new! #goskiing

"I’m not a parent, but I teach at WinSport/COP in Calgary. We’ve got “Parent and Tot” classes I really enjoy teaching (so I teach a lot of them!), for preschoolers on skis for the first time, and their parents who can already ski but want to learn how to teach/help their kid.

It’s fun and challenging in different ways than a regular class of preschool-aged beginner skiers and a lot of what I do is about getting the kids moving independently, and bringing the parents into the instructing/ coaching/ facilitating perspective and sharing my teaching philosophy and tricks with them.

I’ve been really enjoying your content and your parenting/instructing perspective."

"I've been following @thatmountainlife since Adia's videos went viral in the Spring of 2021. At the time, I had an almost 2 year old and was hoping to find second hand skis & boots for her. Erich's youtube and instagram videos were not only inspirational and motivational as a new parent, but also extremely informative in learning how he approaches teaching little ones to ski.

More recently I bought his Playbook, and this is the first season we'll be able to get up to the mountains with more frequency, so I've been testing out some of his techniques. Above all I try to keep in mind this quote, "You have to remember that you aren’t teaching them how to ski, you’re showing them they can have fun on skis."
